Musical Background
Brendan Ruwart is a Michigan-based Music Producer/DJ, and multi-instrumentalist with an extensive background covering a number of genres and sound styles. He obtained his BA in Music from the University of Wyoming, and in that time emphasized in studying percussion and vocals, but also developed his compositional and arranging skills. Brendan performed in many ensembles such as orchestra, concert band, jazz band, marching band, mens chorus, mixed chorus and even in a mens a capella group. Shortly after Brendan obtained his Bachelors degree he wrote, toured and performed in Wyoming folk/rock band The Woodpile for a few years. After the band split he took to performing in several indie bands playing multiple genres such as rock, country, funk, and metal, but now his true passion for music lies within the studio.
BEET STVNS uses his musical knowledge from this diverse background to influence the way he creates and performs today. It sounds a little pompous to say he can do it all, but his passion for creating and playing music has lead him down many avenues. As life ebbs and flows his musical taste certainly has with it. His production style has shifted towards different electronic sub-genres such as Trap, Lo-FI, Phonk, Wave, DnB, and Jungle.
